BARNES' SALE '13 BEGINS!!!! Selling LOTR LCG (huge lot)

More is coming, but I wanted to go ahead and post this.

Looking to get into the LOTR LCG? Here it is pal, your ticket to Middle-Earth. I love the game, got into rabidly for a while, but I’m ready to move on and let someone else dig in.

This is a very specific set, so read carefully. You will get:

- “2 1/3” copies of the Core Set- this means that you are getting effectively three Cores so that you have three of every card. I parceled out the excess cards (the “commons and uncommons”, if you will) as well as a set of tokens and rules as part of a trade. What you are left with is an uncluttered players’ set with no junky unusuable cards. Don’t worry, I kept enough Gandalf cards for four players. Two rulebooks included, and everything fits in one Core set box. Everything is also sorted and well-taken care of.

- One copy each of the deluxe expansions Khazad-Dum, Heirs of Numenor, and The Hobbit: Over Hill and Under Hill

- All six expansion decks (12 total) for the Shadows of Mirkwood and Dwarrowdelf cycles
None of the small expansion boxes are included but I have the small rules inserts for each. I do have the boxes for the three deluxe expansions if you really want them.

All told, the retail value of this lot is almost $400 (well, $390).

I’m looking to sell at $215, shipping inclusive. I will accept Paypal or gift certificates from Gamestop or Coolstuffinc.com as payment. Questions? Let me know.

Is this to fund the new x-wing stuff?

Heh, no, it's to fund the Disney World Visa bill.

Did the Pathfinder card game weigh into your decision?

Yes. But they're very different games. LOTR is closer to the old MECCG, Pathfinder is closer to Talisman or Ravenloft but with a really nifty and very easy to implement campaign system. Not as heavy or rich as LOTR, but definitely something easier to pick up and play with hardly any overhead.

It's legit. I'm working on doing an article with the guy. He contacted Wizards of the Coast and there are folks there that are very interested in the collection since it may be a very significant find of vintage cards. I'm still looking into it, the guy is slow to respond because he's in the military.
