WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!
This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;
Two games enter! One game leaves!

Two skin-of-the-teeth Trashdomes in a row. It's too bad that this one turned out so poorly and demonstrated that at least 15 F:AT members would rather play a boring, 500-hour long game of logistics and deterministic combat than a game where you put barbarians on airships and raid ziggurats. Oh well. Maybe next week.

So, Borderland fans, someone give me a quick synopsis on why Borderlands is so awesome. I've never played/seen it and I'm curious. All I've been able to infer from this thread is that it's in a fantasy land and is sort of like Diplomacy with Catan-esque resources thrown in.
I think you can rule a large part of the loss to the Borderlands supporters. This question was asked..and looking through the thread I never found anyone who answered it. Most of the talking was Diplomacy Bashing. You had alot of fence sitters...
the most I found was
BORDERLANDS is an awesome game that hopefully will increase in profile when FFG does their edition of it. It has some of the DIPLOMACY stuff in it, but it's got a cooler theme and there's some tough logistical decisions to be made in it. You can definitely see that it's an EON game, it has traces of DUNE and COSMIC in it. There's some SETTLERS-style resource trading and management too. Totally a better game on every level.
early on...which really doesn't say much.
So, its your own damn fault.
