Custom Heroscape

I've been starting to pimp out my favorite games and Heroscape is near the top of the list. There is a plethora of source material on heroscapers.com and HS lends itself to virtually any terrain you might want to make.

So far made a bunch off forest and jungle terrain and it has wetted my appetite for more.

Has any one tried using custom units? So far I've rebased a bunch of heroclix and "Handful of Heroes" (marvel army men) and am going to do star wars and halo units as well.

Anyone have favorites or reccomendations?

If you get some good stats for the Haloclix dudes then publish and I may be able to interest the yungsta - I trialled a Haloclix session last year at our club and (I haven't done the 'clix games before) it was a pain in the arse having to refer to the card for nearly everything and on both sides too so I never inflicted it on him, but a good Heroscape coversion could see the come out again.
Someone produced some stats for LotR Combat Hex figures a couple of years back (they fit on the hexes apparently and I have bloody loads of them) but I never grabbed them - anyone else see and grab them ?

I intend customising at some point. But I've yet to find a source of Heroscape bases, anyone know where to get them in bulk?

I really recommend the C3G superheroes for Heroclix. They've been playtested at least a few times.
