Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Movies of 2012
Expendables 2
I had no expectation with the first one, but greatly enjoyed it. Hoping for more of the same.
Rumor is Van Damme is the main heavy. Not sure who Hemsworth is though...
GI Joe 2
The first one was one of the worst films I've _ever_ seen. This one looks more like it. The Cobra flags unfurling over the capitol looks to be something straight out of the Hama comic. Awesome. The tie-in with the original GI Joe character from the 60s is a nice touch. Could be a fun one.
Still, these will likely be home viewings for me. The Hobbit is my only must see in theater.

I still want to see The Muppets. And Drive. And Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Those will likely be 2012 viewing for me.

This. It's balls-hard to get out to actually see a movie with little kids at home, especially if my wife wants to see it too (as she will those).
But GI Joe looks stupid in all the right ways.

I hope you've seen the British mini series with Alec Guiness. (It was available on netflix streaming but don't know if it still is) That was fantastic. The movie will have to be stupendous to top it.

TTSS was pretty great. It's the paper-pushing and in-house intrigue that you know is going on back at MI6 when James Bond is out on his adventures. Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch (from the BBC's Sherlock series with Martin Freeman) are very good.

Killing your television is a good idea if you have kids, but it can be a hassle too.

I'm even more interested in seeing it after finding out it's by the Let the Right One In guy. It's playing in a whopping 4 theatres like The Road was though. I'd have to drive 158 miles and see it in Vancouver BC. I think it's going to open in a few more theatres soon.

Hey buddy, be glad. I'm tempted to drive across the continent to see it in Vancouver just to get out of Ontario
