I got into The Wire all at once, two years ago. I had been hearing great things about it for years, including a comment from Alan Moore to the effect that it was the best show ever. So when I saw an online deal for the series boxed set, I went all in. Since then, I have watched the entire series three times now.

Seppuku sounds like the only remedy.

We just finished the final season a few months ago - totally brilliant from start to finish. It's criminal that it never won any awards.

Yeah, the lack of awards is baffling, especially when you consider just about every TV critic in America routinely praised it during its broadcast years. It did suffer a bit from being in the shadow of The Sopranos, which was running at during the same years.

I've had it sitting on my hard drive for a while now. I keep meaniong to watch it, but I just haven't gotten around to it.
