I have been really intrigued by the Netflix exclusive series starring Kevin Spacey, but I don't know if it is worth the money I would have to spend on a Netflix account. Is the show that good?
Is Netflix worth the 8 bucks a month, or whatever ludicrously minuscule amount of money they are charging for streaming these day? That's less than a whopper value meal at Burger King. That's four cups of coffee at dunkin donuts. That's two gallons of gas.
To be concise....fuck yes Netflix is worth it. With or without House of Cards.
As to the show itself, do you not read the Tow Jockey Five Second reviews? No? You should because the guy who writes them is a genius.
I'll give you the summary. The show is great overall but has flaws due I think to having to stretch the story to make more episodes. The original mini series, also available from Netflix is tighter but doesn't have Kevin Spacey.

Netflix also has 3 other offerings up in this same vein:
Hemlock Grove (Eli Roth)- werewolves but of the human-eating kind.
Sense8 (Wachowskis)- some sort of sci-fi series
Lillyhammer (???)- mob-related show
I think also rumored is some series by the Bab5 creator.
