I am rewatching Nausicaa Valley of the Wind as I type this and if you haven't seen it you aren't a complete human being.

All this talk about Anime made me revisit an old favorite: Uchuu no Stellvia.

It's a story about people living in a space station after an apocalypse which killed 3 billion people on earth, but with much lighter tone and kiddie art style. The main character is a 15-year-old girl who studies there.

Despite the light tone and teen-y story (frakking first kiss...), the attention to detail is good. During the launch of a space shuttle, there's warning given to onlooker that pictures on the monitor will be distorted...

I've seen Stellvia. Can't say I cared for it.
