News about "Let the Right One In"

Saw this bit of news:

Dark Horse Comics is teaming up with the revived Hammer Films studio to create comics and graphic novels based on Hammer movies. Although Hammer is known for classic 1950s Technicolor horror movies like the Horror of Dracula and The Curse of Frankenstein, the first Dark Horse/Hammer project will be based on Let Me In, a new “Hammer” film that is a remake of the innovative 2008 Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In, a movie in which the vampires turn out to be the “good guys,” at least when compared with the film’s middle school bullies.


According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marc Andreyko will write the Let Me In comic, which will “incorporate some of the film’s characters and mythology with some fresh themes.” The Hammer remake of Let the Right One In is due out in October, which likely means that Dark Horse’s comic series will debut sometime next fall.

Kung Fu and Vampires, how could it have not been awesome? Better than these pansy Vamp flick of today.

I agree - I didn't see that either. I am not in the camp of this is a great film. It was ok, interesting, but overall there are much better. It was slow as opposed to being subtle. This is the impression I remember having though I saw the movie many months ago.

What was the very last thing that was said in the movie - for some reason the DVD did not translate it?

And if a person thinks middle school bullies are meaner than vampires, they watched it wrong.

certainly my favourite vampire movie of all time

although the Eddie Murphy one is a CLOSE second

I don't know how someone couldn't love Let the Right One In... it is one of the best vampire movies I've ever seen. Along with Cronos, Thirst, and uh.... maybe that's it.

But the comic Astro City: Confession, has just as awesome a Vampire story too.

ugh, Thirst was kinda disappointing for me. Let the Right One In is MAGICAL.

where's the love for Blackula?

Let the Right One In blew me away. I was not expecting to feel pity, tenderness and abject dread all in one sitting.

I'm happy to hear about the new Hammer movies, but disappointed that a very unnecessary remake of Let the Right One In will be one of them.

No!!!! It's bound to be worse than the original.
