Mosterpocalypse is a decent game system with a semi-solid background (if it was non-collectible there would be an insane amount of love for it here). This could work, but then it could also end up as bad as Mutant Chronicles or FFG's Midnight Chronicles.

I thought they already made this movie? Wasn't it called Godzilla or Gamora or Ultraman or something?

Yeah, this is GREAT...all I'm seeing is MARS ATTACKS 2.

It won't be as bad as MUTANT CHRONICLES or MIDNIGHT CHRONICLES (a trend there, huh?) because at least there's some money and negligible talent involved...but the concept is just fucking terrible. A movie based on a game based on other movies...eyes roll. Why not just do an original Kaiju-styled movie?

Oh wait...CLOVERFIELD...that's why...

In a somewhat related but off topic question:

Can anyone break down the updates from the different series and give their opionins on whats good and whats not? I have a small set comprised of 1 and 2. I quickly realised that it was best to stick with one release so that I wouldn't get drawn into the whole CMG "This power only works with that unit."

However series 3 added modular besities (instead of glowing Hyperforms)
and Series 4 has Apes, elementals, and Sea Creatures

So if I was going to pick up a few more boosters, do people like 3 or 4 better?
Also, I haven't looked at any of the new rules/powers since series 1 (except for a single power on one of my series 2 cthuloid beastie.) Is there anything really cool that I'm missing out on?
