Total Recall 2012

Anyone hear about the remake of Total Recall? It's being filmed here in Toronto right now. I heard it is supposed to be a closer rendition of the original PKD novel.

They're remaking a lot of Arnold movies, first was Conan, now this. i liked total recall, but i watched it when it was all dated already

Having read the short story, and thinking about it. This is a movie that could really be remade with losing all the cheese of Arnie's version. Which I really liked. I think they should not try to ride the 80's version co-tails and instead make it on it's own merits, and even drop the Total Recall name and use the original title. I think this will add a lot of respect and legitimacy to the effort. If they try to remake the cheeseball version, it'll crash and burn.
