Couldn't find the old thread...so I figured Id begin again here.
As I might have told some of you, I used to play bass in my teens. Not particularly well, and lefty. For my birthday the wife got me
a Squier Telly, righty. Suffice it to say it wasn't long before I started playing all kinds of shit. But no amp.
So I got an amp and immediately realized that the SS setup not only lacked the Telecaster sound, the pickups are shit.
I tore it down and sent itur body out to Sigler Music where they routed it and put in a preloaded Seymour Duncan pickguard with double Hot Rodded '78 buckers, locking witch hat controls, the works.
Just dropped it off at Guitar Center and they're going to put in a custom bridge/saddle top load setup, set intonation etc.
Been playing my Strat and my Takamine acousic in the meantime. Selling one of my Takamines to fund the purchase of a 88 Fender Catalina. Heading to Chicago next week.
