I think we have long ago reached equilibrium on the whole Euro/ AT thing. Publishers are making enough of each to keep everyone in the hobby happy.

I think its great that Euro fans get new stuff to look forward to each year and likewise for the AT crowd. Everyone can enjoy their own niche in relative bliss.

The Gathering of Friends has a strong Euro component that caters to that crowd but given the current dynamic and state of boardgaming, they should be allowed that. Right now, everyone deserves to have fun in their own way because IMO, there is nothing going on in the overall game community where one side adversely impacts the other.

And so there should be peace.

Shortly the World's Ugliest Transvestite and a group of Ameritrash Gamers will embark in a van and head to Trashfest 3.

These Ameritrash gamers think of themselves as open minded and the cutting edge of society and of course not wanting to be called haters will accept the crazy antics of Loter as he lapdances on each and everyone while dressed as Snow White.

At first everyone laughs, and then as the trip wears on a wave of sickness and sadness overwhelms the lot of men who really just wanted to have a good time with games.

What has happened to their harmless fun hobby? It has been kidnapped by a loon!

I hate lap dances. Had one once and it was very embarrassing.

I was leaving Sudbury Ontario to go tree planting and a buddy took me out on my last night to a strip bar. I don't really like those either but it was his treat so fuck it. I'm sitting there minding my own business when a stripper approaches me and says: "Do you want to buy tickets for a free lap dance?" to which I reply: "no" and then she tells me: "but it's a great price they're only two bucks each" and I repeated myself: "no" then some giant biker dude comes over and he tells me: "You buy those tickets I garuntee you'll win" and he says this in a really threatening voice. I was scared so I said: "fine, I'll buy two".

Then the biker says something in the strippers ear and she walks over to the PA guy, hands him my ticket and the PA guy immediately calls out my number. SHIT! I am really unfcomfortable with this. But I obdiently follow her to the creepy area in the back and sit down while she dances about and on me for the length of one pop song. It felt like forever. Part way through the ordeal I get uncomfortable and bored so I lean over to the guy next to me on the couch and ask him how it's going. He turns to me and says: "Never talk to me when I'm with a lady". A lady? Is that the right word?

Now I'm extra uncomfortable and I want to leave immediately. The stripper can see I hate this and the guy next to me is seriously considering starting a fight.

I have more stripper stories because I had a room mate who used to bring them home and tried to set me up with one once. It did not work at all, in fact by the end of the night I think that she thought I was crazy.

It was my fault. Me and my biases but I've never been comfortable around women who use their sex to manipulate men. Because I know my weaknesses and don't like power politics. Is that what this is? Does Loter use his sex to manipulate men? Does it work?

...so I'm not judging anybody.
