LOL. That first one is best but the guy that said once he figured out to peel the banana first, it went better after that. And how his cousin has been using a slinky to slice bananas... until now!

oh man, those are great.

Oh man, classic. Also I assume "ebaums did it". And by ebaums I mean 4chan. And by 4chan I mean fuck rules 1 and 2.

I've seen this posted a few places and kind of wondered at the silliness. Then I read one of the reviews that made its existence make sense.

If you are making banana chips, you REALLY want consistent thicknesses for the slices. And you are chopping the actual bananas 20 or 30 at a time before loading them into a dehydrator. That's got to be a tinier market than gamers, though. Like 100 people period.

I'm actually one of those 100 you mention. My paring knife still works a wonder--but, yea, bananas can be a huge pain in the ass. I've never had *anything* go through the dehydrator where a whole rack of something is done at exactly the same time, including stuff prepped using a proper deli slicer.

Ok, I guess my paring knife, being an $80 Wusthof Trident, is an extravagant luxury to use on such a task when a modern miracle like this is available.... ;)
