We play in Sioux city, Iowa. We call our group Paper Street Products, named after the house on Paper st. in Fight club. We've had a variety of fight club meme-ed club t-shirts over the years.
We meet at my house that has 5 4x6 and 1 4x4 dedicated gaming tables. Although occasionally one is covered in unfinished miniatures projects or legos or heroscape and not really usable. I also have three tables on my ground floor that we spill over onto on rare occasions.
Once a year, the first weekend school is out around here, I have a 3 day game convention called Bartcon (I'm Bart) where we theme the events around a major movie or game we all enjoy, We usually theme it around a trashy movie and make the obligatory t-shirt or get custom printed game aids or some such thing.with in-jokes we all know. we've done Conan, Thunderdome, Star wars, etc. We always do kids night all night friday, drink all day saturday (with some kind of in game bonus for consumption) while gaming and play an epic board game like TI:3 on sunday or a huge Warhammer megabattle.
We curse at each other a lot, tend to insert off color mandatory rules into regular games (like x-rated dixit with only mandatory offensive statements accepted) We also make fun of the dutch a lot. We play settlers with our cards face up so we can yell at each other more "trade me that wood, you don't need it you have 3 wood you dutch asshole" and Yes, it really makes the monopoly card powerful.

From BGG description of our Wednesday night game group from the Towson, MD area: Founded in 2005 by Bobby Tweaks and a handful of friends. The
Spielnacht von Mittwoch
was started as a game night for men with families to free up weekends, break up the monotonous work week, and scratch that insatiable gaming itch. On average 8 to 10 guys show up all with the same passions for food, beer, and games.

I am a childless woman. Would I be allowed to attend your event?

Every once in a while a childless women shows up but they usually don't come back to hang out with a bunch middle age married guys. I think my daughter is the only women who's attended more than once.

Columbia Basin Boardgame Society is a twice monthly game night in Richland, WA, with occasional side events at my house or at homes of others from the group. The main group is pretty Euro-centric, but a variety of games get played, and when I'm in town I'm usually running something long and thematic in the back room.
From a group where the average attendance is about 15-25, there are no less than 5 Erics, so if your name is Eric you'll feel at home there, though you will be dubbed with a particular designation (I am "Eric Classic").
I travel a lot, so I'm only there periodically, but if you're ever in the Tri-Cities WA area, please give me a holler in advance and I'll try to hook up with you or connect you to that group. Here's the group's BGG guild page: www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/6
Also, we had a small convention of sorts for a weekend this past February at a hotel in Walla Walla... close enough to easily get to, but far enough away to feel we needed to commit to going there and staying there. Ended up with about 25 people and had a great time, so we're probably going to do that again in February of 2016.

The League of Untouchable American Gamers meets in Houston, Texas every Thursday night.
The League was founded back in 2004 in response to a Geekspeak Podcast Episode with BGG Aldie and Derk where Derk describes Tom Vasel going from vendor to vendor at a convention and walking around with a stack of games in promise for a review.
I wanted to form a game group that was not at all influenced by free games or any type of compensation or influenced by "Hive Mind" gamer mentality. None of the members participate in ANY online forums about board games. I am the only one. I select games based on my instinct for good entertainment and try them out on this elite uninfluenced group of gamers. I have a great time comparing their reactions to the online "experts".

Oh to have enough board gamers in the area to make a club possible !
After falling out with the sudden influx of Warhammer minis gamers into our small mixed gaming club I have irregular sessions with the few AT-friendly board gamers around at my place - I initially called us Swindon Card and Board Gamers, but SCaB Gamers meet that infrequently that the name just faded away ... But I reserve all rights over it !
