Here are 2 things I want to see from you, Mr FFG:

FAQ iphone app.

Yes, yes, I’m certain the Warhammer dice roller thingimibob was nice and all, but I can’t see it being all that useful exactly. I mean I can roll the dice with my own hand. But do you know what would really be useful and what I’d pay $5 for? A FAQ app, that’s what. Similar to the BGG app, it should allow you to navigate through their games and drill down into sub categories which lead to answers to commonly asked questions. This would allow people to quickly find up-to-date answers to questions while they are in the middle of the game as well as meaning people no longer having to kill trees and ink elves to print the damn things out. It should of course also come with keyword search facility and a screen to submit your own questions. Sales of the app should help support the maintenance of the FAQ database.

Pre-painted Minis.

AEG are doing it, Asmondee are doing it. It’s about time you did it. After opening the lovely Claustrophobia it struck me suddenly that I don’t want to look at plain naked plastic again! If it really costs too much to have pre-painted miniatures in your games, then use the Cadwellion model and sell them separately – while not everyone may be able to afford or want them, many such as myself would. Yes, yes, the Arkham attempt flopped (but then again…?), but really that was due to your release model – 2 years before all of the figs come out? That’s pointless as no one wants to play with half models, half standups. Everything needs to come out at the same time or in batches (as seems to be happening now) which is of course easier to do if the figs are available on the games release rather than waiting to do it 3 expansions later. Also in the case of Arkham the figures had to be sculpted and produced just for the miniature release which adds to the final cost; simply getting figures you’re already producing painted up would be cheaper and thus more affordable to the end user.

Get on it.

P.S. A big box Masters of the Universe game would be nice too.
