3ds/2ds Owners

I'm getting one of these for Christmas from Mom I have to make a choice though. I can get a brand new 2ds for $106 out the door from my shop, or a used 3ds that's in pristine condition for $120 out the door. I'll get Pokémon Y and/or the new Zelda. Should I spend the extra $14 if I don't REALLY care about the 3d, but being able to put it in my pocket might be nice. HALP!

Chip in the extra to get an XL, maybe that Zelda bundle.

Look at it this way- you will never be holding the XL thinking "man, I wish these screens were smaller".

I would but I need to get some clothes and save some for bills. I really want it to be able to play these new games and have it.

In that case, I'd go with the original 3DS over the 2D. It just seems more durable and solid, but the 2DS was maybe a bit more comfortable to handle.

I'm actually getting the 2ds for $86 and bringing home Pokémon Y for free because we have so many copies. Let's get some friend codes up in here.

They almost had me with the Zelda 3DS package. That's how bad i want to play 3DS Zelda. It's pretty much the only 3DS game I'd want to play and I STILL thought about it.

I picked up a 2DS for the wife to play Animal Crossing and stuff like that. It's a solid little unit. I like the form factor a lot more than I expected I would. I think Nintendo is gonna sell a ton of these.

2DS for 86? That's a damn steal.

Indeed! I only work one day a week at the game store, but it has its perks.

I've got Pokemon Y at the moment. Thinking about either Monster Hunter or New Leaf. Leaning towards MH. I'd really like to play some multiplayer with some folks from here.

Sadly, no multiplayer on Monster Hunter on the 3DS, only the WiiU version (unless you route the 3DS through a WiiU). I have no idea why Capcom did this, but they're a pretty shit company overall.

Still, it has a shitton of single player content.

Yeah, it was a shit move by Capcom. Maybe they did it to raise awareness of the WiiU, I dunno. Still, can't really complain about the game, the content is massive.
