TROOPERDOME: Space Marines VS. Clone Troopers

In defense of the 'stealers, the 40k Tyranid codex has this to say about Rending Claws:

"Rending claws are usually short and powerful, tipped with diamond-hard spikes or talons. They are quite capable of crushing plasteel and ripping through the thickest armour with their vice-like grip."

...and mentions this about the Broodlord:

"A product of the continual evolution of the Genestealer race, the Broodlord is the consummate hand-to-hand warrior. Lightning-fast and frighteningly strong, its diamond-hard claws can rip through adamantium as though it were silk. A Tyranid vanguard organism, swarms led by Broodlords often precede the main Tyranid advance, infiltrating enemy positions before launching a devastating assault on the elements of the enemy most dangerous to the main Tyranid army."

The fact that Tyranid shock troops readily shred the best armor available to the Imperium underscores how fucked mankind is in the 41st millenium.

If it weren't a youngster who is still learning that brought this comparison up I'd question why this has been brought up altogether.

Anyone chiming in for the Clone Troopers probably has a Clone Trooper costume in the closet somewhere for the next Star Wars convention.

Clone Troopers get smoked by Sgt Rock and Easy Company...nuff said. Never mind Space Marines. Darth Vader would have a hard time gaining the position of squad leader in a chaos tactical squad.

Aw, fuck 'em. Picard would have the Enterprise teleport a self-detonating photon torpedo and melt them all to smithereens.

For the record: I do not think there is a contest here. Space Marines all the way! In my chagrin at his comments, I posted this here as a VS.
