AI Wars PC Game?

I tried to search for this but it is a difficult term. Has anyone hear played AI Wars for PC? It sounds like something people here would know about.

i played the first two tutorial missions when badly hung over. it made me feel worse. i haven't been back yet. it's pretty overwhelming.

I bought this last night on a whim. Holy balls is there a lot going on in this game. I'm having a hard time with it now and thinking Galactic Civilizations II with expansions may be about as far as I go. AI Wars *seems* cool but I'm with Moss on the overwhelming side. Wow.

That's funny, a lot of things made it sound like it should be easier than other RTS's. Are you trying to micromanage too much? Also it seems best as co-op multiplayer. I'll have to check out the demo to see how nuts it is.

Yea, I'm a micromanager by nature in games like this, which may be my downfall here. If I wasn't clear before, I'm only a couple of hours into the game, so I may be overthinking it way too much.

As an aside, if you want something slightly less stressfull on the brain take a look at Gratuitous Space Battles

I got it over xmas & my son and I are having a blast. The great thing is that once you've designed the ships & given them ROE all you can do is watch and scream abuse at the captains as your finely crafted fleet is reduced to rubble.

sins of a solar empire is my favourite game in this whole bracket.
