Hey fellow F:ATties. I'm running a video game music contest in the blogs:

I thought it would be a fun way to generate discussion about video games, plus share some great video game tracks with people from games they may not have played. Also, nostalgia is a big part of Ameritrash, isn't it?

I'm trying to gauge how many people would be interested in a VGM contest as a periodically regular thing on F:AT, so please play along and take a shot at winning if you have any interest at all.

Only one more day after today; don't forget to participate.

Fucking A! This is hard. I have two definites, three maybes, and ... I'm calling in reinforcements!

Yeah, I was sort of trying to gauge how tough these should be, and I realized that they are probably too difficult this time. In the future, the music will be more ubiquitous and the contests will probably have a theme that is sort of a hint.

HINT for this one (if you've already submitted answers, you can revise them):

1 is from the SNES
1 is from PS1
2 are from NES games
1 is from N64
1 is from a PC game that was published after 1999
the rest are PC games from the 1990's


Also, if you have suggestions for songs and stuff, feel free to message me with them.

You should have thrown in the Doom theme song for starters.

I will definitely keep in mind that these things are more difficult than they seem to the person that puts them together.
