Upcoming 2014 games of interest

Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game - This is a fully co-op game by the makers of Marvel Legendary scheduled for release at Gen Con this year. Some info from BGG,

* the game resolves around the players trying to complete objectives
* first four scenario's focuses on the crew of The Nostromo
* the other 3 scenario's are based on each of the sequels
* players can be transformed into xenomorphs
* fully co-op game; scenario's are all win or all lose

I also think that FFG will show us Runebound 3.0 this Gencon.

I don't know about that Kemble's Cascade cover. It's a little bit garish, a little...what's the word...interesting. Could it instead have maybe a single space pilot looking at me like I'm bothering him? And maybe the title be something more elegant, like "Cosmique"? I'm just concerned is all.

Maybe a man negotiating with the king to buy a ship on the cover?

It's true, that box art might be problematic. Exciting images like that could agitate the bodily humours. I hope that Z-Man will tone it down a bit before release. Won't somebody think of the children.

I'm mostly looking forward to smaller, shorter games. I have tons of large, heavy stuff at home that I still want to play.

The exception, though, is Fief. Champing at the bit for that one.

Can't wait for Impulse. Lately I've become a total Chudykite.

Looking forward to Machi Koro. Looks neat.

I'll probably pick up Age of War. Cheap, small, competitive Elder Sign. Yup.

And now Battle at Kemble's Cascade is totally on my radar.

...and of course, every single thing that comes out for Netrunner.

I totally love that box art. That's by our own Chris Quilliams, the man responsible for the Merchants and Marauders and Clash of Cultures cover (among many others).

I will have a prototype of the game at Origins which we should be demoing at the booth. And so far it looks like we will have it for sale at Gen Con.

I truly hope you folks will try it out and like it.

cool, the cover is great, but I didn't get a good feel of the game from the video. I'll stop by for a demo next week!

Blood Bowl Team manager expansion;
Pathfinder card game expansions and possibly the next set as well if someone else wants to pick it up. Interest is still high after over 2 months of weekly gaming, we just wrapped up the Hook Mountain Massacre last week.
