Is that the one with the hopping vampires that Frank told us about? I want to play that one too.

It is, however you should know that all of the creatures are just illustrations on cards with icons for game-effects. At least, they were in the version I played. Still awesome though.

Well, I would hope so. You just made me envision openning a game box and having dozens of tiny vampires hop out like Passover frogs.

See...I'd think that would be a huge selling point for some, and just finding a deck of cards would be a disappointment.

Four pages of replies and no mention of FFG's new version of Cosmic Encounter? GodDAMN. Turn your AT badges in at the door, people....

The title says "in 2008"

Naming anything by FFG that isn't already released is a longshot. I'm pretty sure Cosmic is only in the starting stages of (re)development.

What's a brother got to do to get Age of Conan on store shelves this year? Seriously, that was on my 2007 list. At this pace it will be '09 before we hear the lamentations of their women.

Definitely "cross your fingers it sees the light of day yet in 2008" territory, but I'll say WARS OF THE ROSES from Columbia.

For all your hopping vampire needs, check out the movie "Mr. Vampire". It's Netflixable. I won't say it's good, but I laughed strenuously at the first half of it and the hopping vampires are easily the best part of the movie.

Hey I respect Cosmic Encounter but I don't care for it. Give me Dune instead.
