Exactly. Total agreement. And yeah, I saw the Razor movie, and that was disappointing. So, should I bother with season 4? If it's similar to the end of season 3, I don't want to see anymore.
Your opinion sounds very similar to mine. I thought S4 had 2 of the best episodes in the series. The rest was fucking daft, and the climax very lame.
See it for completions sake, but keep your expectations low.
I watched the last season of BSG again with the new g/f as she hadn't seen it. The religious stuff was bad. But only because I hate that kind of shit and I don't think BSG handled it well. I can imagine someone more oriented toward that might enjoy it more, more personal preference than really poor television. More than anything though, I was struck by the fact that my previous feelings of anger towards season 3 and 4 were really just because of disappointment. Now that I have the benefit of hindsight, I'd have to say that seasons 3 and 4 weren't really that bad. They were just a huge disappointment coming on the heels of what was, in BSG season 1 and the best parts of season 2, up there as probably one of the best shows ever.
Yeah, I think the worst thing I can say about it is that about two episodes from the end, you can practically see the creators look at their watches and say, "Whoa! We better wrap this thing up!"
