Well, sadly it looks like my WBC time is going to be curtailed down to two days one night. Tuesday and Wednesday. Kinda sucks, but hey, it's better than nothing and I'm really looking forward to some good gaming. Anyone got a room they wouldnt mind me stayin in for a night (tues night)? Since my time there's short, hell, I probably won't even sleep much. I'll be more than happy to pay my fair share - just drop me a line!

Also, as far as anyone open gaming - how can we all meet up? Just run around yelling? Are there some better organizational methods?
So ready to game.

Ska "short timer at WBC" baron,
List the time 5 or 10 games you'd like to play at WBC. I'll barely be at WBC at Tuesday. But I'll make sure we hook you up with your favorite Trash on Wednesday. Can you list the games.

Hmmmm my Top list would include:

Twilight Imperium 3
Starcraft (I own a copy)
Prophesy (I own a copy)
Mutant Chronicles: Seige of the Citadel
Galactic Emperor
Through the Ages
Descent

Others:
Arkham Horror
Last Night on Earth
Space Hulk
Cutthroat Caverns
Thunder's Edge (old FFG game I own, but never played)

Heck, the only game I *have* played before is TI3, once.
I'm hoping WBC will be a great time to try out all the trash I've always wanted to.

Hmmm... I was wondering if I should switch my days at WBC to Wed/Thur. Is anyone here going to be there Tues night, because that'll probably be the bulk of my gaming time as of right now...

Went ahead and switched my attendance to Wed/Thurs. since I figuered more people would be there and settled in for late night gaming on Wed. night.

So I'm there from about 9/10am Wed. to maybe 4/5pm Thurs.

oh - and the Cant Stop tournament is Wed. night. Never played, but I have rolled a lotta dice before.

Wednesday, August 6th meet in the Open Gaming area about 10:30 AM. Malloc will be holding Ti3 and I'll be holding StarCraft. If we have an even number of players (2 or 4) we'll play Ti3. If we have an odd number of players (3 or 5) we'll play StarCraft.

You do know 10:30 means I'll probably show up at 11:00 with bedhead looking for coffee.

You can count me in solid for either game. I should be rereading that starcraft rulebook I suppose...

I'll be there Sunday to Sunday.

I'll be the guy with the gut, the goatee and the dazed look on his face. Look for me.

Wait a minute....aw crap. :P

My two buddies and I will be there Thursday through Sunday.

We'll likely compete in a couple wargame tournaments (C&C:A and We the People, likely) but the rest of the time we'll be playing games together and looking to meet and game with others.

Games I'm bringing:
Clash for a Continent
Combat Commander
Commands & Colors: Ancients
Hammer of the Scots
Hannibal
Manoeuvre
Struggle of Empires
Warriors of God
We the People

Games my roommates are bringing (at least):
Arkham Horror
Blackbeard
Friedrich
Fury of Dracula
Last Night on Earth
Nexus Ops
Starcraft
War of the Ring

We've played everything above with a few exceptions: one buddy is learning Blackbeard and I'm learning Warriors of God and Last Night on Earth in time for the con.

Looking forward to meeting some F:AT folk.

Is anyone else concerned about the changes in open gaming space at the WBC?

Tuesday through Thursday at 5pm are nicely handled by Ballroom A but after that the open gaming gets scattered about.

Where do you all expect to be playing at? Perhaps Laurel Grove if there is room with the monster games?

Open gaming could be a problem Friday and Saturday. What we need are some plebs to save us a table at 8:00 AM than they can fetch us beers and food all day.

I walked into the Lancaster Host today because I was playing in the War of the Ring pre-con and to my surprise the open gaming area is now a comedy club and the kids gaming area is now some kind of funland play area. So, I go register and I ask Don Greenwood what's up with the open gaming area. He seemed pretty frustrated with Lancaster Host but he said that even though WBC lost some rooms he worked out with the Host to get additional rooms so that the actual gaming area is larger this year than last. I hope so.

Put...

1) Good Luck in the Pre-Con. I planned on coming Sautrday, but my game group had a game day that day. Why spend the extra money when there's perfectly good gaming on the cheap? (I know, it's WoTR. Thing is, i JUST got War of the Ring, and I've played it once with no rules read. Maybe I'll get in a play later tonight, who knows...)

How well marked are the new gaming areas? And just how obnoxious is this new "happy funtime funland play area?" I tend to get my room right near that area...

See you tonight sir.
