I miss mikecl, Jeff White, and Dogmatix. They seemed to have good viewpoints that always contributed to the discussion here.

I sometimes get confused when F:AT members call each other out by their actual names instead of usernames, because I don't try to keep up.

I don't get into comics or graphic novels at all. I really don't identify with most of "geek culture" when it comes down to it, I just like board games.

Firefly is average at best.

iOS segments and threads bug me because all I've got to play with is an Android phone.

I hope that comment Shweig made in his last cartoon post doesn't really mean it was his last cartoon.

I don't get the "QPCloudy is a noob" meme thing that's been going on. It's kind of funny in a morbid way but the dude seems pretty cool. His towel avatar is pretty great.

I know there are at least two other F:AT members in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area but I'm pretty sure I've never met them and if I did I'm completely unaware that it ever happened.

I wonder how many people around here recognize my avatar.

TI3 doesn't give enough return for the effort and time it takes, from the handful of times I've played it. Same for Arkham Horror.

I can't quite recall why I chose Death and Taxis as my handle on gaming forums a very long time ago, but I've been working for the NZ equivalent of the IRS for the past three years so it was eerily prescient.

I sometimes update my non-gamer/non-internet forum wife about what's going on in y'alls lives. She worries about this.

I also wish Sag was my dad. And I think most here agree.

Sorry, I've always wished that Christian Petersen was my dad.... and he tells me while we're both holding lightsabers.

JonJacob thanks my posts a lot. Sometimes I post just for him.

This pretty much personifies my take on things.

I recognize it, both as yours, and as being from the GW version of Dungeonquest.

I actually discovered that by accident a little while ago. Like, I saw an old image from that game and thought, "Oh, that's Wade's avatar."

Dogmatix is fine BTW. He contacted me a few days ago. Just psycho busy at the moment.

This community is fun and I met many of them at WBC before I joined FAT.

I still meet the same people at WBC and consider them more than friends. They are all stand up guys/gals who I enjoy drinking with and playing an occasional game with, although drinking and laughing is always the real priority.

I have played Agricola far more than any game... likely as much as all of my other game plays combined.

I have a hard time making time to play board games with anyone but a select group of close friends that I have known for years. This is despite meeting some people through this site and really enjoying the time I got to spend hanging with them.

I really miss some of the users that used to frequent the site, I enjoyed reading stuff here and thought the discussion was better back when it shifted from blog to its own site.

Despite being here pretty much since the beginning, I'm pretty sure 90% of the people have no idea who I am.

Yeah, I've been in contact with Dogmatix as well. Last time we chatted he mentioned he hadn't been keeping tabs around here. On a break, I guess.

I still get PBEM updates and almost daily GameCenter notifications from him.

There aren't a whole lot of people I'm glad are gone. Less said about that the better. I can definitely see how this place might be intimidating to new posters, but overall it's very civil.

Nobody should worry about being a n00b, Cloudy has that covered for you. (at some point I expect to see a sub-10 post lurker use that F:AT meme.)

I wish Almalik would quit being a wallflower and meet me face to face...across a table with a game of some sort.

I hate when jeb quits in a game of Titan if he's lost his lone angel. Boo fucking hoo, I've been there, done that and still won a game or two.

I feel like a teenaged parent whenever Uba or Sag doles out advice, parenting or otherwise. "Teachable moments' has become part of my vocabulary.

I'm not a fan of Freakout Fridays.

I wished bfkiller lived closer, it would save on postage when we end up trading stuff to each other. Okay that and he seems like a great guy.

I've probably deleted more potential posts than those I've actually posted. (this is v2 after I abandoned the one at work)

I usually feel stupid after reading some of the more serious discussions on this site regarding most things related to geek stuff besides board games, or history (real), or art, or music, or just about anything. I'm impressed with the knowledge around here.

I don't know how people have so much time to post (especially those with scheduled columns) for free -- I can barely keep up with my "life obligations" (I owe Gary Sax a real email, and some others here some things too).

Generally, if somebody wants a game that I have and am willing to part with, I am glad to just get the thing out of my house -- I have sent out some shit like this (Gunslinger and a few others). I need to send Barnes' a copy of Astron. It is all part of my love/hate relationship with board games -- but I can't be bothered to fiddle with some kind of online payment receiving and processing site, it just seems like more f'ing paperwork. This all makes me question my involvement in the hobby because I would much rather be free of the burden of the game -- but then I miss it....leading to my next point...

I like Magic the Gathering much more than I should.

I think Spellfire is a good game and Barnes and Ken don't know what they are talking about. Expansion sets really made it worth playing. I have a complete set and it really has some groundbreaking ideas in it -- and now I sound like a jackass on BGG screaming YOU JUST DONT GET IT.

I like stupid fantasy, such as Dragonlance.

I imagine Dr. Mabuse as a a doctor.

Schweig! is German for Shut Up!

I don't read any of the "What have you been..." threads.

I share these, except missing Will. And that's because I didn't know until just now that he died.

Thanks for that.

I'm binge watching, and I'm on season four. I was talking about Will and Alicia's split. What are you talking about?
