The Best of Consoles... Your Intellivision Top 5?

I bet young master Bradford had to sit there and watch as his friends paraded around with their GOLD Intellivisions...

Intellivision was GOLD, for chrissakes. It had that "classy" font. It looked very serious and sophisticated. The 2600 was partially made out of wood.

There was a "Dracula" game for Intellivision?

Yep, made by Imagic.

You played as Dracula and you woke up and hunted the streets for victims. Another interesting thing about the game was if you had a second player, then you could make Zombies.

The best part was walking past brownstones and knocking on their doors. If it was occupied (and you didn't eat someone in front of their house), they would run out of the house and you could give chase. Then, after a couple of nights, the police would be out, with stakes, to slow you down. They could not kill you. The only way you could get killed was when the sun rose and you weren't back in your grave or (IIRC) you ran out of blood.

It was great fun. I Imagic's first game I think was "Demon Attack" also which was kind of a rippoff of Galaxian. The closest I'd get to playing that in my home. Wasn't bad.

Swords & Serpents was probably the most broken game I ever played and was a big dissapointment. Paying for that garbage was a huge dissapointment when I was 12. Back then you'd still play it anyways because you bought it.

RE: Dracula. How in the world did I miss THAT? Sounds awesome. I found some screenshots of the game too. IMagic had some pretty good stuff. I remember Demon Attack. But 'White Water' was my favorite IMagic game.

BTW, for anyone that wants to relive the glory days, I found this website:

It was really quite different - if a little clunky at times. A lot of tension as you worked against the timer of dawn and of course had to run from the cops and chase people down the street....Kind of sounds like highschool when I think of it?

1. Utopia - what the fuck? How is this not higher on everyone's list? ESPECIALLY for people that frequent this type of gaming website! That game was SO MUCH FUN. Fishing with the loud pings? The absolute joy and hilarity of watching a hurricane appear and the top of the screen and rip through your opponent's island only to TURN AROUND and go right back up the same island without even touching yours. LOL, oh man, that randomness was excellent. Or the tropical storms (black rain clouds) that would give you mad money if they went over your crops but ocassionally would take a frickin' house! LOL

2. Sea Battle - i loved this game. Can anyone remember the sound of victory when your aircraft carrier goes in your opponent's harbour? WEEEEWHOOOWHHHHOOOHWEEEE

3. Baseball (absolutely briliant), it is the ONLY good baseball video game I have ever played

4. D&D (it was ok)

i think that<s all I really liked
