I actually planned to make an Aliens version of Space Hulk in 15mm, but still haven't found the time.

Most of my painted 'stealers are Leading Edge Aliens.

I always liked the travel sets made from 6mm Epic 40k models.

I think you might be onto something here 15mm version would be godsend. I love the game and bought the previous box on the release day. Yet I've only managed to play it maybe 10 times if that since then. It's form over function all the way. Setting it up is huge hassle, it barely fits on my living room table and some floor bits stick out anyway. The absolutely worst thing is packing that shit back up. You can't just chuck everything back in the box, you have to meticulously put everything back in a proper way otherwise it will never fit in the box (I should add that I use the foam tray for minis). I'd love to play a single game every now and then, but it easily takes two hours. 30 minutes playing and 1,5h unpacking and packing up. So it only comes out when I know will play whole evening which doesn't really happen that often with 2 player games. So one of the best games I have ends up as a shelf toad.

And now some sheeples are getting their panties in a bunch because its being reprinted.

I thought of telling them to put their big boy pants on, but no doubt a flurry of red Xs and a PM from Cocktavian would follow.

I don't get it. I've certainly bought plenty of games as "investments"--if one thinks "future trade bait" at any point, it is, in fact, an investment as you're hoping to get something of greater value than what you paid--but I don't get that sort of crap. I guess it's just me but I generally welcome just about every reprint imaginable. Is this [yet another] case of me just having Fat-Ass Old Wargamer Syndrome (FAOWS) since I generally think of all reprints as huge opportunities best expressed as either (1) "finally, I won't have to pay $300 for Army Group: Whatever" or (2) "fucking A, I'll have a set of fixed/errata counters!"

No, it's just another shining example of the self entitled whiny fucktards that make up the vast majority of the BGG user base.

I'm always amazed at gamers that don't understand the concept of calculated risk.

Frankly, if you've played the 2009 edition for the last five years you've gotten your money's worth. If you sat on it, well, you pressed your luck too far. Should have sold it last year.

Hey hold on a second here, I'm really pissed off that my shelf toad is worth so much less now. GW really stretches the definition of limited edition. Literally weeks ago I was thinking about hawking it on ebay. But I'm not going to cry about it. Now if that was the worst of my problems I might want to spend hours discussing it on the internet. Then again maybe not.

Yep. Still in the shipping carton, but it's on the dining room table. My wife and I plan to consider paint next. Well, some sort of snips first to get the things out of the sprues is probably a good idea.

I picked up a copy as well. Haven't got the iBooks yet but will probably do that as well.

My FLGS is giving away a copy and giving everybody that buys $50 of GW a raffle entry. They rounded up so I've got three chances to win another copy.

I'm reading through the iBook for Ultramarines and Dark Angels.
Waiting for a friend for Space Wolves.

Pretty good stuff, not worth the $16 they're asking though.
Check your TM.

EDIT: Well my buddy is saying the DA one is amazing so I'm going to start reading that one. My initial reaction was for the UM one which, like the UMs are pretty plane.

I picked up SH and the White Dwarf #33 from the GW website. Unpacked it but haven't opened it. I would like to get the iBooks in PDF format or something, but not for $16 each.

I stuck with my first edition last time, and I'll likely stick with it again. I like the glossy tiles and the new librarian rules, but pretty much everything else about the new edition is inferior.

I don't even like the figures as much. Sure, they're better sculpts but they look messy and confused in the plethora of different poses. The marines look more like a ragbag bunch of power armour mercenaries than a cohesive military unit, and the need to make so many different genestealers has results in some really silly sculpts.

If there's people buying the boxes and splitting them on Ebay, I might go for an "everything else" copy, with just the rules and the carboard. Alternatively I could be tempted by the CAT figures to embellish my existing copy. Otherwise, no.

It's good that more people are going to have the chance to see and play this classic, though.
