I was inspired to pull out the 1st edition Gamma World by reading this excellent review on RPG.NET

Fair enough, but for all intents and purposes the game is pretty much irrelevant now.

1st edition Gamma World was my first RPG. I bought it at a comic convention in 1978 after hearing good things about role-playing from friends who were playing D&D. There weren't any published modules for the game at first, just a few articles in early issues of Dragon magazine, so we only played Gamma World once in a while, as a break from D&D. The ref screen adventure was okay, basically Dawn of the Dead in space, but Legion of Gold was really cool. After Legion of Gold, our group exclusively played D&D for a couple of years, then started playing a really wide range of RPGs.

Madden 08 has evidentially taught you well...O' Mad Gamer. But how do you propose the Cardinals play two deep (i.e. Cover 2) while also wanting to roll up the Strong Safety?

And I can go along with most of your thoughts but releasing the corner to bite on a screen opens up McNabb to go deep downfield to DeSean Jackson if no 4 front pressure develops and Donovan can get through his progressions to catch the Cardinals and make them pay.

But congratulations on being able to discuss defense with an element of knowledge and savvy. Well done. B)

Now wipe your sniveling nose and get back to that podcast thing YOU run. ;)

Steve is also wrong to think that run blitzing will stop screen passes, because it won't. Maybe in Madden but not in real football. You blitz a guy into the backfield and McNabb unloads it to Westbrook, your guy is nowhere near westbrook. The screens force the linebackers to play disciplined and not go crazy with the blitzing.

That's why I should never make predictions on forums where I don't have admin powers.

Does that mean you want to go back and pretend that you never made a prediction, or that you wish you could ban me? Heh.

I didn't have a dog in the fight, but screw Philthy....terrible team, terrible city, terrible fans. I'm glad to see them and the Ultimate Victim, Donovan McNabb, miss out on the big game.
