Will Fantasy Flight have another Holiday Sale?

Anyone know if Fantasy Flight will have a Holiday Sale this year? I've wondered since their merger with Asmodee whether they'd have one. What do you think will be included in the clearance sale?

Depends on how much old stuff they have lying around. The last few years have been pretty lackluster. I'm wondering if they start flushing some of the dead ( Warhammer Invasion Cthulu Wars ) or rebooted (Game of Thrones ) LCGs.

The sale has begun. They seem to have a few good things available. Merchants of Venus for one.

25$ Merchant of Venus definitely the winner in there, just looked. 20$ Nexus Ops too.

They have a bunch of Tide of Iron too. Including the Next wave set. I didn't know they sold TOI anymore after they shipped it to 1A games.

I was not particularly optimistic that there would be a groundswell for a reissue of Tide of Iron. I have it, but I haven't played it for a long time (though my wife has indicated interest). So I guess I'm not shocked that it's so heavily discounted, but I too am surprised that FFG has any distribution role in it.

Descent Sea of Blood is a steal if you enjoy 1st edition.

Gears of War was the best thing they've had in years, that went very cheap last year.

Geeze, I could see retailers stocking up on some of these. Much cheaper than wholesale.

What kind of idiot doesn't buy Merchant of Venus for $25? Seriously. That is crazy. Of course, 1/2 of the components are junk because they are for the "standard" game, but man alive, that is a bargain. What a mistake it was for them to pack in all of that new crap and charge $80 for it. That's why it's there, folks.

Nexus Ops for $20 is good, but it's for the shitty looking version. Again, FFG thought they knew best...same goes for Borderlands, which they totally fucked up with a bunch of Steampunk crap that apparently nobody wanted.

Planet Steam for $10, that's outrageous. I remember when people were buying that game for over $100 in that giant ass box. The import one. It's actually a pretty good business game, I'm thinking about getting it.

The Knizia Hobbit game they have is good- it has a bunch of very Knizia-y things going on, it's really more of a Beowulf lite than a Lord of the Rings lite. I think I actually paid like $7 for it, so at $10 maybe if it's just a throw-in with something else.

Black Gold is definitely worth $10, another solid business game with some cute mechanics.

Definitely get the Rune Age expansion if you don't have it, it's a great addition to the game.

Arkham Horror minis...ha ha...TOO SMALL NOW.

Battles of Westeros...heh...I could have told you that was going to fail hard. In fact, I did. And got banned from FFG's press list for the second time.

Winter Tales, that was about as DOA as it gets. As was Sky Traders and Ventura. They just reeked of doom before they were even released.

Warhammer LCG is OK, but it's also kind of unremarkable. I dunno.
