Will Fantasy Flight have another Holiday Sale?

Kinda want to get some of the 40k RPG books. Why? No idea, I'll absolutely never play them. But I might, and I like possibilities!

Really (if I can ever get the sale page to load), I'll grab Black Gold and Merchants of Venus, and I'm waffling on Planet Steam.

Warhammer LCG is excellent from what I played, I just don't have room or energy for building decks and LCGs.

I only ever read the first Arkham Horror one, Ghouls of the Miskatonic. It was okay, but I didn't really feel compelled to read any of the follow-ups. I mostly got it for the promo card.

Wow, I forgot that FFG really nails you for shipping. Shipping for a single game winds up being about $16.

When I owned Elder Sign, just like you, I purchased four of those AH novels, mostly for the promo card. They were disappointing, but, I read all of them since I'm a fan of Lovecraft.

I'm wondering though whether those $1 Android novels are anything close to Gibson's Necromancer novel? If so, I'd probably purchase those.

Ha ha! Yeah...probably more on par with the film version of Johnny Mnemonic...

They have a MESS of AH figures and also, on the other products page, there is a mess of Tanny models

I'm very tempted by the newest ToI expansion, Stalingrad. Which I heard good things about and is supposedly partly inspired by Dana Lombardy's Streets of Stalingrad. But my ToI coffin box is absolutely stuffed already and weighs more than a dying sun so I am trying to tell myself it's just some shitty completionist mentality. I think that part of me will win. But I've weakened in the past.

I wonder if Merchant of Venus is still worth it for Canadians once you factor in shipping and exchange. Probably not!

Michael Barnes wrote: Winter Tales, that was about as DOA as it gets. As was Sky Traders and Ventura. They just reeked of doom before they were even released.

I feel like Ventura has been on FFG's holiday sale for years. They must have a "Raiders of the Lost Ark"-style gigantic warehouse filled to the rafters with copies of that game. At this point, I kinda want to buy it, just out of morbid curiosity.

I've heard that the shelf-life of Ventura is longer than a Twinkie or a fruit cake.

I'd like to pick up the couple of Invasion expansions I'm missing, but the cross border shipping kills it.

I've read six of the Arkham books (the two trilogies). I hate to make blanket statements when it comes to fiction, but in this case - I will. They all suck.

Planet Steam is one of the best market economic games I've played. It kind of reminds me of Power grid but without the funny business of Power Grid.

Blue Max is a great WW1 dog fighting game, it's a classic, the fact that it got reprinted is kind of odd because it's played mostly by old grognards.

Planet Steam is great, a strong case for second best economic game (behind Acquire).
