Return of the F:AT Music Thread

On the other hand. I just been listening to SLeater Kinney and now even more sorry I missed their concert before the broke up. Damn they're good. Unique vocals, with the hooky sound that was later picked up by Bloc Party. ALthough I don't think I could stand to listen to that voice for more than two albums on end. SO only part ways through their discography now

New album by the Noisettes sucks. Sounds like they took away the band and put in a couple of imposters who now do boring music. Where is the great stuff they did on What's the Time mr Woolf?

The one of that title song, 'How it Ends' is great. There older stuff is slightly more polkaish. It all does tend to be rather similar, which can drive people nuts....

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of Servotron. Just about the most AT music ever made. It's catchy fast surfer rock tunes about robots taking over the world. Referencing everything from Asimov's three laws, to that fucking Small Wonder show, definitely worth a listen.

Fun stuff, saw them a couple of times years ago. Best song title was "Robot Refund (The Ballad of R5-D4)"

Another interesting robot-themed band is Captured By Robots. I wouldn't buy one of their records, but they're pretty funny live. It's one guy and a bunch of homemade puppets.

Surf rock...eh...I don't get it. Man or Astroman was the only band of all that revival stuff I really liked. Other than that, just put on a Link Wray or Dick Dale record.
