Once in a while, one of them breaks da rules. PRECIOUS lacked any good-looking females I think. They even managed to make Mariah Carey look like a$$.
I hear what you're sayin' tho

Hey, I didn't say it was "good"...I said it was "manly". Yeah, it's crap. But it's totally 1980s fantasy in a van art kind of way.
Black Barney- at least I play more than one video game. OOF

That's a strong argument but when is the last time you enjoyed a game enough to keep playing it for a long time? I'm like almost at 400 hours into MW3 cuz I LOVES it. My buddy is doing everything he can to get me to switch to Halo:Reach but I refuse (also ME3 is next week so the timing is bad).
I mean, i still have a shrink-wrapped copy of Saint's Row the Third at my house that I can't touch until I finish Skyrim (which I've actively tried doing now). But CLAN OPS have just started in MW3 and they are wicked fun (plus they're bringing back the players who moved to BF3).
I downloaded a free trial of the Ticket to Ride XBLArcade game too and am fighting the urge to buy it cuz I already have too much on the go.
Anyway my point is that it's cool when you love a game enough to dump this many hours into it (I freely admit that many games are better than this but it really is like crack-cocaine). I mean, 5 more prestige levels? How can I resist, yo?
I look forward to talking ME3 with you tho, that should be fun.

Josh Look wrote: I gotta agree with Barnes on Fire and Ice. I watched it not too long ago...Yeah, it was bad, not very well animated, but I reveled in the sheer trashiness of it. I kind of dug it for its cheesy 80's style fantasy and the *plethora* of oddly appealing ass shots.
Yah, but admit at least, that you were wasted on paint fumes and whip-its at the time.

I'd like to hear what 'modern' fantasy movies are better. Conan remake? Clash of the Titans remake? Scorpion King? Prince of Persia? Nope, all crap with none of the heart of Fire & Ice or Conan '82. The only fantasy movies of the last 10-20 years that match the 80s output is LotR and those are like...real movies.
If I could get a Talisman like game re-skinned with the likes of Conan, Imaro, Darkwolf and Co. along with evil sorcerers I'd be done buying fantasy games.
I also recently re-watched the Corman films that Barnes brought up. Damn, I miss films like this. It was a great night of films watching. Even that annoying announcer from Rock N Roll High School couldn't derail DR2000. Watch some of those while the wife is out.
Edit: I also second Ironclad. Plenty gory and it was nice to watch a film where the Templar isn't portrayed as a total dick.

... with a really nice ratio of boobies-to-total run time, it should be noted.Schweig! wrote: Heavy Metal is another manly animated film.
What a film. First movie I was ever kicked out of. Good times.

Sonatine: only the Japanese are making real gangster movies these days, and Beat Takeshi does it best. Brutal.
Scarface: Say hello to his little friend.
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans: When Nick Cage is good, he can be very good.
Die Hard: Srsly.
Wolfen/The Howling: From the greatest year of werewolf movies in cinema history. Well, OK, low bar, but still.
Krull: Oh hell yeah.
Revenge of the Ninja: OH HELL YEAH.
I Love Phillip Morris: Very manly. Pretty devoid of anything womanly, really.

Turn up the bastard volume, dim the lights, stop watching porn and get stuck in to all that upper class bullshit from Edward Fox and co.
Rather amusing story although a little off topic.
Friend of mine bought a huge 10000000 lux projector and displayed, in all its glory, an 'adult' movie on the white curtains, because that was the biggest area in the apartment. Fully prepared with the lube and dressing gown he sits down for an almighty wankathon.
Had to stop because he was on the 5th floor and the traffic accidents were increasing at an exponential rate 4 floors below him.....funnier still is it was here in Kuwait.
