Thanks for the necro, saves me from posting that trailer to "YouTubes I liked." What a trailer. It looks like real stunts, real cars, and all the craziness from ROAD WARRIOR. I am psyched. This is the best trailer since TOMBSTONE.

I'll know it's the real deal when it inspires a whole new generation of low-budget Italian and filipino Mad Max knock-off flicks.

Freeze frame of one of the shots seems to suggest the former: homemade prosethetic, not too fancy. Hope they don't fuck it up too.

Wow, though, what a trailer!!

happy I just picked up Thunder Road

There is not one bit of actual plot displayed in that trailer.

Just as it should be.

If he talks like Bane in it I will give it 5 stars.

Lord Hummungus: "Just walk away, and there will be an end to the horror."

Mad Max: "What a beautiful, beautiful voice..."

I never got all the Bane hate; I had no problem understanding his voice.

It is amazing to see how much Tom Hardy has bulked up since Black Hawk Down, Band of Brothers, and ( blech ) Star Trek Insurrection.

There's Bane hate? That's a thing? I thought he had some of the best line readings of the last 10 years. His dialog with the rich guy was amazing. I watched it like four times in a row:

Rich Guy: "I'm in charge!"
Bane: "Do you feel in charge?"
Rich Guy: "I am paying you a small fortune."
Bane: "...and this gives you power over me?"

He conveys this gentle menace with his tone and hand gestures. And kills the guy, whatever, but that moment was just awesome. Who doesn't like Bane?

Bane is fucking awesome and possibly best villain since original Vader. There was a big stink when the movie came out that people couldn't understand/hear what he was saying. I had no trouble with his voice at all in the theater or my several home viewings.

Bane RULES. His voice was highly stylized, yes, but that's the point. I remember from early screenings that people complained that he was muffled and I believe Nolan actually asked the sound people to mix it WAY up. Which I love. His voice is absolutely commanding, scary and bizarre. He conveys a sense of absolute authority and conviction with zero human weakness.

People are such fucking crybabies about the stupidest shit, and the internet just enables all of this. If the internet were around in 1977, there would have been fussy little internet jackasses bitching about Vader's voice.
