Also, how does the Age of Sigmar setting affect Warhammer Quest Adventure Card Game? That's set in the Old World, with it's elves and dwarves not aelfs and fyreslayers.

No DM player, which is one of the things that swayed me.

I hadn't thought about AoS impacting WHQACG...I wonder if FFG's license DOES NOT included AOS material.

I am NOT looking forward to putting these minis together...I might just make some stand-ups or use D&DAS figures or something.

If you are going to use standees, then why not just PnP the original Warhammer Quest? Is this one going to be that much better?

I'm waiting for the reviews on this one. I don't want to support anything less than absolutely stellar in the Age of Sigmar universe. I really liked the old Warhammer Fantasy setting and Sigmar just reeks of "Fantasy with 40K appeal, now 90% more copyrightable!"

I'm pretty apprehensive about the upcoming Blood Bowl release as well.

Same here. I'm not sure I'm going to pull the trigger on this one until I see some seriously distinguishing gameplay. That Age of Sigmar aesthetic just looks like crap to me but I can overlook it if the game is amazing.

Not sure what you're expecting. When remaking old games, GW pretty much sticks to their guns. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still the same spawn-next-to-players-and-chased-by-winds-of-magic gameplay.

In Canada, Great Canadian Minis gives 25% off. I haven't ordered from them in over a decade though, but it might be worth it for these games.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. To me this sounds like spending 150 nostalgia bucks to assemble & paint miniatures. I don't need the old WHQ, and if this is close to the original or lighter I'm not all that interested. There's just too much other product in the genre coming down the pike.

It's not the old WHQ. It's some kind of dice activation system blended with the new Age of Sigmar rules.

A couple of places doing preorders on eBay...I grabbed a $125 copy down the road in Florida. Seems like $120-$125 is bottom dollar on it.

I still don't' see why someone would need this over the already-mature DDAS stuff...I liked old WHQ just fine, and the gameplay is very good, but not 125$ good. It's just too fucking much money.

Hey, I always wanted WHQ. Like, since the 90s. I never bought it, never owned it. So part of the excitement to me is to finally get it. I may not even put the minis together, I may play it for a while and ditch it. Y'all know how I roll. But I think it looks better than some of the other upcoming dungeoncrawlers, I'm more interested in it than Sword and Sorcery or Perdition's Mouth, for example.

But if I like it, I may even crudely slather some Apple Barrel Colors on them.

Gameplay overview is up.

Apparently it's unlisted but was posted back in April. The NZ shop exposed it:
