This theory just came up on BGG this morning, but there's a thread in Queen's Gambit over there where everyone is chasing ghosts. So I don't give anyone any credibility on the subject.
This image is what everyone is hanging their hopes on, apparently from a trade show. A different box and different components.
But -- there have been other "editions" at trade shows and Star Wars events that obviously aren't to be made in bulk. The image above has a box included (which isn't all that black) so that kind of makes it a little more real? Don't know.
