Sorry for the tangent, but I wanted to let everyone know you can get some kick-ass Star Wars ship models for under $5 if you scope out your Target and Wal-Mart toy sections. The ships are on the Matchbox and toy car aisles and won't be with the Star Wars toys so go searching. I picked up an awesome Ghost and Slave I for less than $9 total, so if you are a fan of Star Wars starships go get'em. I've seen TIE fighters, Y-Wings and Hoth speeders but haven't scored a Millenium Falcon yet. These models are about the size of the X-Wing minis and look good for the sub $5 cost.

If having sex with this new Black Edition Star Wars Risk is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

I know it's lame to have RotJ be your favorite SW movie, but damn it if this scene isnt why it's the best to me. Three level fight in OT sounds like heaven.

Any word on how close it'll be to Queen's Gambit or how RISK it'll be? SO BEAUTIFUL.

People that hate on ROTJ are cowards and ne'er do wells.

I think the consensus is that its mostly Risk in name only.

Then how close to Queen's Gambit....?

Not that I've played but other than the setting, it seems like an awesome, thematic game.

Its only similar in that you're fighting many battles at once.

The main board is basically the battle for the death star. The boards on right is tracking advancement in the Endor battle to shut down the force shield. So, you're holding on to dear life against the death star while committing forces to the ground battle, which is really the main battle.

It's very asymmetrical.

You know, I'm not sure I need the Black edition. It's pretty, sure, but it's also a mass market 30 minute game. $50 is kinda steep for that. Besides, if the game kicks ass, the $30 one will kick just as much ass.

I actually have a very unpopular opinion about ROTJ, more so than it being your favorite, but we're not going there.

Also, totally okay with 3 player only on Loopin' Chewie. I have Loopin' Louie already and have you ever tried playing it with 3? It just doesn't work. Nice to have the option.

The game will be the same - just better looking bits. Don't think it's a 30 minute game though.

Are there photos that show the difference between the regular edition and the black edition?

Nevermind, I skimmed. So is the only difference the plastic Death Star and SSD minis? I mean, those MIGHT be worth the extra $20...

There's nothing definitive yet. The only difference that I've seen is the color of the bits, and even that it is limited to the Empire side. There seems to be the grey ones you see in most pic, then there's black ones in some that appear to be bigger than the grey. I almost think that the grey bits are the standard.

Remember how the third Matrix movie was so bad that it traveled back in time and ruined the first two Matrix movies? Return of the Jedi is just as bad.

That's a crock of shit if I ever heard one. No really, I don't think I've ever heard anything so completely and utterly WRONG (and remember, I hang out with Repoman on a regular basis). ROTJ is far from the masterpiece of the Star Wars saga, but it is not that bad. And nor do the prequels ruin Ep IV or V, so nobody even think of starting that shit.
