A Co-op Deckbuilder!

With that warning out of the way, I'm tempted by VENOM Assault . One preview bills it as the GI Joe game you never knew you wanted. Pretty much any character from GI Joe you can think of has a 'tribute' (?) character in the game.

Ars has an article on Secret Hitler with links to a PnP version of the game.

I like the new edition of Medici that's up right now. If I didn't already have a copy I liked, I'd be all over that.

However, I hate that they felt like they needed to add components. The player boats are a nice addition (I think that started in the 2nd edition?), but the markers for tracking the round and scoring the commodities seem completely superfluous. And they're not even stretch goals!

I'd like to pick up a copy as a gift for my cousin, but I'll definitely wait until after the KS and buy it retail.

I backed Guardians of Atlantis. www.kickstarter.com/projects/697125425/g...moba?ref=hero_thanks

I don't play MOBAs, but this game seems interesting, and I like the idea of a team game, which my group has never really gotten into. I also think the multiple ways you can upgrade heroes seems pretty cool. I was iffy about it not having dice, but hopefully it works out. It's also pretty cheap, compared to most Kickstarters. Early-bird, of which there are many remaining, is only $60. Shipping charged after the fact.

Plopped down a pledge for the TMNT game.

It is Kevin Wilson, IDW and Turtles so I anticipate a hot mess of a game. Also, I'm a sucker for tactical skirmish miniatures games.

Von Tush - Thanks for the heads up about TMNT. I backed that as well.

I just backed Mythos Tales (formerly Arkham Investigators). I'm a fan of the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective that this is based on.

I didn't back Mythos because a) I haven't yet played out Sherlock and b) it all hinges on the quality of the writing and the quality of the mysteries. Hard to tell on the latter.

True, but the first two cases were available PnP on BGG and had very positive feedback.

KS and I don't seem to have such a working relationship. I've backed two games. One, Fife, I sold off prior to receiving as the more I saw of it the less I liked.

The second, Lone Wolf board game, have spent all their money having miscalculated costs. They have the game on pallets but no funds to ship, so they're asking backers to pay for shipping (which was originally included for free). Shipping to the US looks to be an additional $35, so what was a $50 buy is now $85.

I didn't really want the game, and had planned on selling it off as well, but I backed to support Gary Chalk and help this get made (it barely met its goal) . Refunds don't seem to be an option as there's no money left to give. Not sure I want to drop another $35. I think I might just write this off.

If anyone here was following my discussion of playing Techno Bowl about a month back, you may want to check this out.

We interviewed designer Brent Spivey on Ding & Dent, and also give a short review of the game before hand. I'll be doing a lengthier written review in a couple of weeks.
