Gary Sax wrote: Comancheria just charged, the new GMT first nations game from Joel Toppen. I liked Navajo Wars but didn't love it; it was a little too procedural. Still its subject matter and perspective was fascinating so I'm keeping it. I'm very interested to see what he does with the Comanche; they have a much more direct, military style long-run conflict with the Texans and US army.

If you haven't already read it, I recommend reading "Empire of the Summer Moon" by S.C. Gwynne. It's a great read about the Commanche.

I was almost ready to trade Wooden Ships Iron Men for a Valley Games copy of Titan, but I had punched out two counters while we had the game in Qatar, and one of them slipped out of the box in transit, so now I'm just selling it for $12.

I bought Pax Renaissance and the expansion cards, along with the Pax Pamir expansion baggie. Still haven't gotten around to playing Pax Pamir, but it doesn't matter too much. They're small and the Eklund print runs mean I can always get rid of it at some point.

Pretty sure I paid less to have it shipped from Germany than I would to ship it in the US, though.

I'll probably P500 Imperial Struggle as well. The theme appeals to me a lot. Other than that, not much buying in months.

Amazon is have a board game sale, so I picked up Risk Legacy for $34.

Now I need to decide if I wait for our Seafall campaign to end (one way or another) to play with my regular group, or go find some other people to play it with.

I bought the Magic: Arena base ($20) and three copies of Zendikar ($4.70 or something) because that's a cheap set of bubblegum mini goblins etc for the RPG and maybe there's a game there also. I bought a second copy of Paris Connection ($14) for when the gaming group start losing train pieces which will break the game. I also bought Steam from walmart after wanting to grab Kingsport Festival for $18 so I bundled them together.

Someone remind me how GMT's P500 works...

About three years ago I backed Manoevure:Distant Lands.
It may, possibly, see the light of day in Q1 2017.

Will I be charged then...or was I already charged back when people like Sag frequented the site?

They charge when they ship the product and mention when they will be charging in their monthly updates.

You'll be charged right when it's about to ship.

I wish there were a reminder email at some earlier point. There have been a couple of times when I would have withdrawn my backing had I remembered. Instead, the email just says, "We just took your money. Look what you're about to get!"

That's true, but that doesn't help my addled brain when I don't remember signing up for the P500 to begin with.

GMT CS is really great, and I've heard that they'll refund charged P500s if you ask nicely.
Waiting three years for Manoeuvre's expansion is nothing compared to waiting seven years for Wild Blue Yonder.

Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower. I just won an auction at eBay yesterday for a set that has been stripped of miniatures, for $5.00 USD. Nobody else even bid. Admittedly, I am also paying $20 for shipping, because the seller is in Hawaii, but I still count this a great deal. It's perfect for me, because I lack skill and enthusiasm for the painting, and since I haven't painted anything for several years, all of my paints have likely dried up and I would need to spend a chunk of cash just to get started again.

Instead, I will be scanning art from the Silver Tower character cards and rulebooks into my computer, and reformatting to print out and craft-glue to wooden nickels. I cranked out more than 1,200 tokens for my D&D campaign, so doing another 50 should be easy enough. And then I can buy the hero expansion and do another 44 tokens.

Thanks to Delobius of F:AT for giving me the chance to try Silver Tower, and also for suggesting purchase of a stripped copy. It's kind of insane that I am getting the rulebooks, dice, cards, and those awesome cardboard tiles for $25 counting shipping.

That sounds like an awesome copy of silver tower! I'd actually rather have your copy than a real copy.

New Citadels has been out for a few days but I'm still waiting for it to pop up on Amazon for Prime shipping.

New and reworked characters -- 27 total -- with reworked special Districts and recommended configurations in the rulebook. The new artwork is good; I like the darker artwork of the original but some of the artwork in the original wasn't really consistent so I neither love nor hate the change. The new edition also has more combos and ways to build Districts while only requiring seven (instead of eight) to win. I still really enjoy Citadels and a slightly faster-playing edition should be an improvement so I'm on board.
